KHOROG, February 3, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Residential customers in the GBAO districts, which receive electricity from Pamir Energy Company (PamirEnergy), having no power debts receive electricity supplies regularly, Asia-Plus has learned at PamirEnergy.

Thus, residential customers in the Rushan district that do not have power debts have electricity round-the-clock.

The supply of daily electricity to the city of Khorog amounts to 20 hours per day; however, medical facilities, military units deployed in the city and pump stations receive power supplies regularly.

In the Shgnan district, jamoats (community) of Suchan and Sokhcharve also have electricity round-the-clock, while others receive electricity supplies 18 hours per day.

The Ishkashim and Roshtqala districts also have electricity 18 hours per day, while the Vanj district now has electricity 15 days per day.

The Darvoz district receives electrical power from the Norak hydroelectric power station (HPS).  Small power plant Shirg that was introduced into operation at the end of last year allows providing regular electricity supplies to the administrative center, while other settlements of the district do not have electricity at all.

In the Murgab district, only the administrative center has electricity 12 hours per day.
