DUSHANBE, February 25, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Parliamentarians have considered and endorsed bills on credit history and standard legal acts.

A sitting of the fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the third convocation, presided over by its head, Saydullo Khairulloyev, was held on February 25.

Presenting the credit history bill, MP Ismoil Talbakov noted that parliamentarians considered the bill in the first reading last December already and then sent it for consideration to the Public Council national Academy of Sciences, and the Association of Banks of Tajikistan.  The bill was also published for public discussion in the parliamentarian official newspaper

Sadoi Mardum

.  “We have received some 160 proposals and many of them have been taken into consideration,” Talbakov said.

Credit history or credit report is, in many countries, a record of an individual”s or company”s past borrowing and repaying, including information about late payments and bankruptcy.  When a customer fills out an application for credit from a bank or store, their information is forwarded to a credit bureau, along with constant updates on the status of their credit accounts, address or any other changes they may have made since the last time they applied for any credit.  This information is used by lenders to determine an individual”s or entity”s credit worthiness

Justice Minister Bakhtiyor Khudoyorov presented the bill on the standard legal acts.  According to him, id the bill is approved, the Ministry of Justice will prepare a register of the standard legal acts.

Parliamentarians approved both bill unanimously.
