DUSHANBE, February 26, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Police are still carrying out the search operation to arrest persons that attacked a money transfer outlet in Qurghon Teppa yesterday, the capital of Khatlon province yesterday, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The source at a MoI told Asia-Plus today that according to adjusted data, the assailants seized some 2,000 US dollars and 55,000 Russian rubles (RR).

As it had been reported earlier, two unidentified armed persons burst into one of the Eskhata Bank’s outlets to offer money transfer services in Qurghon Teppa yesterday at around 12:00 and seized a large amount of money.  Assailants managed to escape; fortunately, no injured was reported.
