DUSHANBE, March 11, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Chairman of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs Maliksho Nematov heading Tajik delegation is participating at an international tourism exhibition, ITB belrin-2009, that has opened in Berlin today.

The source at the committee noted that the Tajik delegation had organized stand to put on display the country’s achievements in tourism and relative industries at the exhibition that runs through March 15.

The whole world meets at ITB Berlin: people, working in the travel industry and people, who want to catch up on the most beautiful travel destinations.  The combination of trade exhibition, public exhibition and the biggest professional convention worldwide attracts tens of thousands of visitors, exhibitors and media representatives every year.

As a driving force in the travel industry, ITB Berlin gives important impulses to a continuously growing market.  Exhibitor sales of about 5 billion euros and an exhibitor satisfaction rate of 92 percent are evidence enough that supply and demand meet at the right place.  ITB Berlin is the leading B2B-Platform of all tourism industry offers.  In addition, the world’s largest tourism convention Market Trends & Innovations provides unique opportunities to benefit from the leading think tank of the global tourism industry.  All levels of the value added chain are present: tour operators, booking engines, destinations, airlines, and hotels up to car rentals.

Since 1966, the structure of ITB Berlin was developed and expanded.  The structure of the exhibition halls is divided by geographic aspects as well as by current market segments.  As always, ITB Supply plays an important role.  A whole hall is reserved for Trends & Events with Youth Travel, ECOtourism, Experience Adventure, Economy Accommodation, and Travel for disabled people. However, Training and Employment in Tourism, Travel Technology, Wellness, Culture Tourism, Cruises, and the Book World are presented on a grand scale.
