DUSHANBE, March 12, 2009, Asia-Plus  — An exhibition of paintings by Tajik artist Sayfuddin Sheraliyev opened at the Swiss Cooperation Office in Dushanbe on March 11.

According to the SDC Dushanbe Office, the exhibition will last at the Swiss Cooperation Office until April 11, 2009 from Monday till Friday.

Sayfuddin Sheraliyev was born in the Baljuvon district, Khatlon province on February 10, 1940.  In 1962 he entered the Olimov Art College.  After the third year in 1971, he shifted to the Central Asian Academy of Painting.  In 1971-1972, he was at the Samarqand Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering.  In 1972-1973, he did his post-graduate studies at the Moscow Institute of Architecture.  Sheraliyev has worked with the Olimov Art College since 1978.

Sayfuddin Sheraliev is an honorary member of the Union of Tajikistan’s Architecture and Civil Engineering; holder of 2 gold medals of the USSR international fair, a member of Tajik Artists’ Union; and a member of the CIS Association of Designers.
