DUSHANBE, March 14, 2009, Asia-Plus  – New public premium bonds have been issued in Tajikistan and the first drawing for them is expected to be held on March 30, according to Amonatbonk’s (Tajikistan’s savings bank) pres service.

They are medium-term bonds issued for the period of 10 years.  The government has issued public premium bonds of 10 and 20 somoni’s denomination and winnings on them are set at 20, 40, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1,000 and 1,500 somoni.

Printed in Germany, the bonds were put into circulation on March 1, the source at Amonabonk said, noting that holders of the premium bonds issued in 2002 might exchange them for the new bonds or receive the amount due to them.

In all, 60 drawings are held for the 2002 bonds during ten years – six drawings each year with periodicity of once per two months.

The new public premium bonds are issued in Tajikistan by government’s resolution of December 29, 2008, and 60 drawings will be held during ten years.
