DUSHANBE, March 20, Asia-Plus — During a March 19 meeting of President Emomali Rahmon with residents of Vahdat, local entrepreneur Safarbek Nazarov stated that he would build a 50MW run heat and power station in the city of Vahdat, according to presidential press service.

According to him, the heat and power station that will run on coal will be finished on 2011 on occasion of the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.  The entrepreneur noted that he intended to invest his own funds and attract foreign investments into the project, the press service said.

Nazarov also intends to construct enterprise for producing gasoline and diesel fuel in Vahdat, the press service said, noting that construction of those facilities will come to more than 65 million euros.
