DUSHANBE, April 10, 2009, Asia-Plus  — 150 buses purchased by the Dushanbe mayor’s office from the Russian Federation for some 5 million US dollars have been distributed to the city passenger transport enterprises.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that 75 buses had been handed over to the passenger transport enterprise Avtobus-1, 35 buses had been handed over to Avtobus-2 and 40 other buses had been handed over to Avtobus-3.  75 of the purchased buses work on liquefied gas and the remainder on gasoline.
