DUSHANBE, May 20, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Russia’s air carrier, open joint-stock company (OJSC) UTair Aviation, intends to operate regular flights to Tajikistan.

According to the UTair Aviation press service, the company will launch an air route from Nizhnevartovsk in the Russian Tyumen region to the Tajik northern city of Khujand beginning on June 1, 2009.  The flight is expected to be operated twice a month.

UTair Aviation conducts its business activity in accordance with the principles of the market economy, aiming at the maximum transparency and clarity and endeavoring to achieve a brand new level of passengers servicing and keep its status of a modern, first-quality and competitive air carrier.  The company’s three main business activities include helicopter operations in Russia, helicopter operations abroad, and passenger transportations (passenger and cargo transportations on domestic and international flights with various aircraft types).
