DUSHANBE, June 2, 2009, Asia-Plus,  — Today morning, President Emomali Rahmon inaugurated a new school in the Luchob settlement, according to presidential press service.

Speaking at the inaugurating ceremony, the president noted that the new school to accommodate 624 pupils met all requirements of a modern school and some 9 million somoni had been spent for construction of the school.

Rahmon expressed gratitude to builders and specialists for an opportune implementation of the project.  The president also noted that compared to 1995 financing of the education sector had increased 33 times and wages of employees of the spheres of education, culture, health care and culture would be raised in September despite the global financial crisis.
