DUSHANBE, June 12, 2009, Asia-Plus — An international exhibition of handicrafts from member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) opened in Yekaterinburg, Russia on June 11 on the threshold of the SCO summit that will be held in Yekaterinburg on June 15-16.

According to the Ministry of Culture (MoC), Tajik delegation has put on display a large collection of national fabrics, traditional Tajik clothes, carpets and books at the exhibition.

Besides, a group of Tajik artistes is departing for Yekaterinburg today for participation in a concert on sidelines of the SCO summit, the source at a MoC said.  According to him, Tajik artistes will also perform a concert for Tajik Diaspora living in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region.
