DUSHANBE, June 25, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, has lowered passenger fares for air routs from Dushanbe, Khujand and Qurghon Teppa  to Moscow by some 7.6 percent, according to Tajik Air’s press service.

The national air carrier said the new rates went into effect on June 22.  A ticket for the flights from Dushanbe, Khujand and Qurghon Teppa to Moscow, previously 260 euros, now costs 240 euros.

In the meantime, passenger fares for the air route from Kulob to Moscow have been lowered by 3.8 percent and the ticket now costs 250 euros.

Prices of tickets on flights form Moscow to Tajikistan remain unchanged.

The new rates have been introduced for the purpose of increasing passenger traffic, the press service said.  Tajik Air is also considering the possibility of lowering passenger fares for other air routes as well.
