DUSHANBE, June 30, 2009, Asia-Plus — A three-day meeting of the working group for creation of the single system of registration of nationals of third countries crossing CIS states’ border has opened in the Armenian capital Yerevan today morning, according to the CIS Executive Committee press service.
The system is intended for automated collection, processing, keeping, transfer and use of information that allows keeping record of citizens of the third countries crossing borders of the CIS states. The system will be created on the basis of the national information-stocking systems of the CIS states.
The system may be a component of larger interstate automated system of information exchange and be a part of it as a separate subsystem for serving certain category of users, providing customers with necessary accounting data.
The plan of joint work on creation of the single system was endorsed by the CIS council of heads of government at its session that was held in Astana, Kazakhstan in May this year.
