DUSHANBE, July 27, 2009, Asia-Plus  — A Tajik-Egyptian joint pharmaceutical enterprise, TojDelPharma, has be set up in Tajikistan, Minister of Health Nusratullo Salimov announced at a press conference in Dushanbe on July 23.

According to him, the enterprise has been set up on the basis Tajik-Indian joint pharmaceutical company, Tojik Achanta Pharma Limited.  “Although Tojik Achanta Pharma Limited was founded some ten years ago, however, the company has practically been not in operation,” the minister said.

“Egypt’s Delta Pharma has purchased the 35 ownership interest of Tojik Achanta Pharma Limited and TojDelPharma has been set up,” said Salimov, “The authorized capital of TojDelPharma is 5 million US dollars; Tajikistan owns 45 percent of the shares and the Egyptian company Delta Pharma assumes the 55% ownership interest in the enterprise.”

The minister added that an official opening ceremony of TojDelPharma would be held in November this year, when it would be fully provided with modern equipment.
