DUSHANBE, August 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — Russia will send a consignment of textbooks to Tajikistan until the end of this year, according to the CIS Executive Committee.

Specialists from St. Petersburg State University have prepared textbooks on the Russian language and literature, especially adapted for use to Tajikistan, for 5th, 10th and 11th graduate students.

Russian specialists took into consideration national specifics while preparing the textbooks, which are based on comparison of the Russian and native languages.  Such textbooks on the Russian language and literature have already been prepared for Kazakhstan and Moldova.

The textbooks have been prepared with support from the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation (IFHC) and 25,000 copies of these textbooks will be delivered to Tajikistan until the end of this year.

Russian specialists plan to prepare such textbooks for Turkmenistan as well, press release issued by the CIS Executive Committee said.
