QURGHON TEPPA, September 5, 2009, Asia-Plus  — On September 4, an awards ceremony was held in Qurghon Teppa, the capital of the Khatlon province for the winners of the competition “The Best Article about Activity of Khatlon’s Trade Unions.”

, an official paper of the Khatlon regional administration, was recognized as the winner of the competition and Murod Sotiyev, a reporter for the national news agency

in the province, took the 2nd place.

The source noted that the winner had received 500 somoni in prize money and the journalist who had taken the 2nd place had received 200 somoni.  The competition was announced by Khatlon’s Trade unions in January this year.
