DUSHANBE, September 15, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Six school buildings have been put into use in Tajikistan this academic year due to the Catalytic Fund Grant Project, Parviz Saidov of the education project management unit said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him four new schools buildings to accommodate totaling 975 pupils have been built in the northern city of Panjakent (Sughd province), Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district (school # 69), Roudaki district (district subordinate to the center), and Darvoz district (Gorno Badakhshan) and major repairs have been made to the building of school # 15 in the Hissor district.

“5,238,393 somoni have been spent for construction of the new school building and renovation of the school in Hissor,” said Saidov, “Besides, the mentioned schools have been provided with school furniture for a total amount of 268,600 somoni.”
