DUSHANBE, September 28, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Heads of supreme financial control bodies from the CIS states will gather in Dushanbe on September 30 for the 9th session of the CIS council of supreme financial control body heads, inform.kz reported on Saturday referring to Kazakhstan’s Committee of Accounts.

Representatives of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine will meet in the Tajik capital to discuss issues related to mitigation of effects of the global financial and economic crisis.  The meeting is expected to result in signing of a number of documents.

Besides, the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of Tajikistan will formally take over as the rotating chair of the CIS council of supreme financial control body heads.  Currently, Russia’s Chamber of Accounts holds the rotating chair of the council.

Founded in 2000, the CIS council of supreme financial control body heads is dedicated to provide cooperation between supreme financial control bodies and coordinate interaction and exchange of work experience between them.
