DUSHANBE, October 9, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The next edition of Russia’s Gorny Zhurnal (Mining Journal), which has been published since 1825, is dedicated  to mining and metallurgy of Tajikistan, according to presidential press service.

The publication contains an article by President Emomali Rahmon and some 30 articles by Tajik and Russian researchers.

Materials published by Gorny Zhurnal promote further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation in exploring and developing mineral resources of Tajikistan.

Gorny Zhurnal” is the oldest Russian scientific-technical and industrial monthly journal devoting to all aspects of deposit development and mining of mineral resources.  Established in 1825 at the Mining Military School (today St. Petersburg State Mining Institute – Technical University), Gorny Zhurnal is the basic publication of the intergovernmental council of CIS countries in the field of exploration, usage and protection of the earth bowels.
