DUSHANBE, November 12, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Tajik National University and Malaysian State University signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Ministry of Education (MoE) in Dushanbe yesterday.

Abdurazzoq Abdulloyev, director general of the Tajik-Malaysian company, Ahmadsoz, told Asia-Plus today that the company organized an international exhibition entitled “Education in Malaysia” in Dushanbe and five cooperation documents were signed between universities of Tajikistan and Malaysia on sidelines of the exhibition.  “Besides, ten other agreements on cooperation between universities of the two countries are still under consideration,” Abdulloyev said.

According to him, the signed documents provide for exchange of students and teachers, participation in MA and doctoral programs of both countries, as well as exchange of experience between representatives of the education ministries and university chancellors of the two countries.

Abdulloyev added that short-term training courses on the Tajik and Russian languages for 30-50 Malaysian students studying in Tajikistan would be organized in Dushanbe in December this year.

The exhibition “Education in Malaysia,” involving seven universities from Malaysia and 15 Tajik universities, was held in Dushanbe on November 6-9. 

Founded in 2008, the Tajik-Malaysian company, Ahmadsoz, specializes in providing consulting services in the fields of education, business, etc.
