DUSHANBE, November 19, 2009, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) jointly with the GTZ (German Agency for Technical Cooperation) project, Support for Regional Economic Cooperation in Central Asia, is organizing a program for acquainting Tajik entrepreneurs with modern production management method, KAIZEN, and introduction of this method at the country’s enterprises, according to the CCI press service.

A seminar formally titled “KAIZEN: Introductory Course” will be held at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe from November 23-24.  The seminar will be conducted by specialists from the Kaizen Institute/Russia.

The seminar aims to discuss the main notions of KAIZEN, losses in processes and organizations, productive and administrative losses, instruments of analysis and improvement of operations, management of changes, approaches to introduction of the KAIZEN principle.

After the seminar, experts from the Kaizen Institute/Russia and the GTZ Tajikistan will introduce the KAIZEN principle at one of pilot enterprises in Tajikistan, the CCI source said.

The concept of KAIZEN is to make simple, common sense improvements and refinements to critical end-to-end business processes- supporting the overall Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy of the organization.

Mr. Masaaki Imai, internationally known consultant in the field of quality management, is the father of Continuous Improvement (CI).  Masaaki Imai has been a pioneer and leader in spreading the KAIZEN philosophy all over the world.  In keeping with his philosophy of never-ending continuous improvement Mr. Imai founded Kaizen Institute in 1985, also now known as Kaizen Institute Consulting Group (KICG).  Kaizen Institute supports organizations of all sizes in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, Middle East and the Americas, in all business sectors.  It provides broad consulting, training and certification (KAIZEN College), and benchmarking services.
