Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to Moscow at the invitation of the President of Russia. The visit took place within the framework of agreements between the two heads of state on regular consultations and exchange of views on topical issues of bilateral international partnerships.

As the correspondent reports from Moscow, on early Sunday morning, the plane of the President of Turkmenistan landed at Moscow airport “Vnukovo-2”. Here, a helicopter was already waiting for the honorary guest that soon brought Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the country residence of the Russian President “Rus” in Zavidovo outside Moscow. At the residence, the Turkmen leader was met by his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.

The heads of two states held a working meeting “without ties.” The two presidents stressed the fruitfulness of the bilateral partnership and noted the dynamics of the continuous growth of trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Russia. According to the sides, this characteristic of cooperation that withstood global trends of crisis and stagnation is best evidence of the potential for the full development of the Turkmen – Russian relations in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.
