Budget revenues reportedly stand at 4.3474 bln somoni in Jan-Oct 09

DUSHANBE, December 16, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Tajikistan’s national budget revenues stood at 4.3475 billion somoni (equivalent to some US$995 million) in January-October this year, according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Share of tax receipts accounted for 66.4 of the overall volume of the budget revenues originally planned for January-October this year and 95.4 percent of the revised target for this period.  Non-tax receipts accounted for 3.5 percent of the overall volume of the budget revenues.

Over the report period, the expenditure part of the budget stood at 4.4036 billion somoni.

In January-October this year, fuel-and-energy spending accounted for 21.8 percent of budget allocation.  16.8 percent of the budget was spent on the education sector, 12.8 percent on social insurance and social care, 7.9 percent on the public management system, 6.7 percent on the transport and communications sector, 5.9 percent on housing and communal services, 5.9 percent on the environmental protection and forestry, 5.8 percent on the health sector, 4.7 percent on the agrarian sector, 3.7 percent on culture and sports, and 0.4 percent on industry and construction.
