DUSHANBE, December 25, 2009, Asia-Plus — The ninth two-day session of the Tajik-Kyrgyz intergovernmental commission is concluding in the Kyrgyz southern city of Osh today, the source at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC).

According to him, the commission, co-chaired by Tajik Minister of transport and Communications Olimjon Boboyev and his Kyrgyz counterpart Nurlan Suleymanov, has been considering a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

“15 heads and senior representatives of branch ministries and organizations and heads of industrial enterprises are representing Tajikistan at this meeting, which is considering state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two nations in different fields” the source said.

The meeting, in particular, is discussing mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in sectors like energy, industry, and transport.

Border cooperation is also one of major topics of the meeting.

The meeting participants are also considering bilateral cooperation on social protection of the population, labor relations and migration as well as education, the source said, adding that the next 10th session of the Tajik-Kyrgyz intergovernmental commission will take lace in Tajikistan in 2010.
