KHOROG, January 26, 2010, Asia-Plus — Since January 6 this year, when the government started to sell shares in open joint-stock company (OJSC) NBO Roghun, people and organizations in Gorno Badakhshan have bought Roghun shares for more than 6.1 million somoni.

According to reliable source, the majority of shares (for more than 5.9 million somoni) have been sold through branches of Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’ savings bank) in the region.

Thus, 2.5 million somoni worth of Roghun shares shave been sold through the bank’s branch in Khorog.  Residents and organizations of the Darvoz district have bought shares in Roghun for 787,000 somoni, Vanj – 445,000 somoni, Murgab – 166,000 somoni, Rushan – 470,000 somoni, Ishkashim – 440,000 somoni, Roshtqala – 369,000 somoni and Shugnan – 805,000 somoni.

In the meantime, 45,000 somoni worth of Roghun shares have been solved through the branch of Tojik Sodirot Bonk (TSB).  Orienbonk’s branch in the area has realized Roghun shares for 78,000 somoni and Agroinvestbonk’s branch – for 39,000 somoni.
