DUSHANBE, January 26, 2010, Asia-Plus  — In 2009, Tajikistan signed 15 agreements for implementation of investment projects in various sectors of the country’s economy, according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

A total cost of these projects is 262 million U.S. dollars and grants accounted for 50 percent of this amount, the source at a MoF said.

62 joint investment projects are currently being implemented in Tajikistan.  A total amount of funds that were spent for implementation of the investment project last year is 1.1 billion somoni, including loans for 865 million somoni, 171 million somoni of grants and a 43 million somoni contribution of Tajikistan, the source said.
