DUSHANBE, April 12, 2010, Asia-Plus — As of March 31 2010, a loan portfolio of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, which is Tajikistan’s largest commercial bank, amounted to more than 810 million somoni (equivalent to some 185 million U.S. dollars).
According to Orienbonk’s press service, in the loan distribution structure the proportions of loan recipients in the local currency were: private commercial enterprises – 49.03 percent; agricultural enterprises – 21.79 percent; state-owned enterprises – 27.27 percent; and physical entities – 1.91 percent.
In the loan distribution structure the proportions of loan recipients in foreign currencies were: private commercial enterprises – 71.84 percent; agricultural enterprises – 16.10 percent; state-owned enterprises – 12.00 percent; and physical entities – 0.06 percent.
We will recall that as of January 1, 2010, Orienbonk’s loan portfolio amounted to some 720 million somoni (equivalent to more than 164 million U.S. dollars).
