DUSHANBE, April 15, 2010, Asia-Plus  — 32 counties of the world have provided US$26.735 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first three months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the report period, 64 tons wheat for US$417,000, medicines and medical equipment for US$15.015 millions, US$2.227 million worth of footwear and clothing, as well as food products, electrical appliances and computers have been delivered to the country.

Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 52.4 percent, Korea – 8.3 percent, Germany – 3.7 percent, Malaysia – 2.9 percent, Denmark – 2.6 percent, the Netherlands – 2.2 percent, Latvia – 1.5 percent, Russia – 1.7 percent, Turkey – 1.0 percent, India – 0.9 percent and Iran – 0.4 percent.
