DUSHANBE, May 17, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A 16-year-old teenager from the Mastchoh district in Sughd province has committed suicide.

“The tragedy took place yesterday,” the source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said, “The 16-year-old Parviz Rustamov was pasturing sheep and goats.  One of sheep fell into river and drowned.  According to the Sughd law enforcement authorities, being afraid of scandal for this, the teenager committed suicide by self-hanging.”

In all, 138 suicide cases have been registered in Tajikistan since the beginning of this year.
