DUSHANBE, May 19, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon today received Dr. Muhammad Bedah Dah (phonetically spelled), Secretary General of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY).

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Emomali Rahmon, Dr. Muhammad Bedah Dah said that his organization planned to publish 1.25 million copies of Qur’an provided with word-to-word translation into the Tajik language and The Holy Instructions especially for Tajikistan.  “Thus, each of Tajik families will be provided with Qur’an,” he said.

According to him, the books will be delivered to Tajikistan gradually.

According to Wikipedia, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth is an Islamic educational organization whose stated purpose is to establish a platform where Muslim youth can get together in an Islamic environment.  WAMY also achieves to establish a relationship of dialogue, understanding and appreciation between Muslim organizations and the western societies.  WAMY organizes conferences, symposia, educational workshops and research circles to address youth and students issues.  In addition to Football Tournaments WAMY organizes European Muslim Scouts camps for Muslim youth in Europe.  It receives its major funding and ideological cues from Saudi Arabia.
