DUSHANBE, May 21, 2010, Asia-Plus — Kulob central Culture Palace is hosting a lottery for distribution of concrete addresses of future place of residence for all victims affected by the disaster which occurred on May 7 in Kulob region.

According to Pirmad Zaripov, Deputy Mayor of Kulob and member of the Republican Headquarter for Liquidation of Consequences of Natural Disaster in Kulob region, members of headquarter decided to conduct the lottery in order to avoid any idle talks, misunderstanding and accusations which may emerge during distribution of six land plots allocated for the construction of new houses for disaster affected victims.

The lottery will be conducted in accordance with numbers given to tents in emergency camp, he said. Each victim will take part in the lottery and will receive a concrete land plot for the construction of a new house. “After the lottery all tents will be removed from the stadium to construction sites,” Vice Mayor has said adding that this process will take several days since each family will be transported by a separate trip. There are 650 tents in the stadium.

Meanwhile, almost all ministries, structures, banks, enterprises and entrepreneurs have already started the construction in the outskirts of the city.
