DUSHANBE. May 27. “Asia-Plus” — 1mln 247.886 Somoni have been transferred to Amonatbonk state saving bank for disaster affected victims as of May 26 this year, press service of the bank told the AP.

The source stressed, that the funds were transferred by 410 citizens of the republic. Collection of funds for disaster affected victims from southern Tajikistan is still under way.

Floods caused by heavy rainfalls on May 6-7 this year killed 40 people in south Tajikistan and left 4.500 people homeless.

Amonatbonk opened special emergency accounts in national and foreign currencies in order to provide assistance to disaster affected victims.
