KHUJAND. May 27. “Asia-Plus” — A young mother from Sughd district left her newborn baby to die. Newborn baby reportedly died of exposure.

According to investigation, a 32-year-old Hamida Gafurova from Bobojongafurov region had consciously left her newborn baby to die, the regional interior department for Sughd area reported.

According to the source, in early April Gafurova returned back home straight after deliveries and left her newborn baby boy in the balcony. “In the morning she buried baby’s dead body at a local cemetery in Somgor jamoat,” the source reports.
