Exhibition of export goods of China’s XUAR opens in Tajik capital next week

DUSHANBE, July 10, 2010, Asia-Plus  — An exhibition of export goods of China”s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) entitled, Tajikistan 2010, will open in Dushanbe on July 13, according to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).

More than 100 companies from XUAR and Chinese companies operating in Tajikistan are expected to participate in the exhibition.  They will put on display their achievements in light industry, consumer and industrial equipment, farm produce, and building materials at the fair that runs through July 15.

The main objective of the exhibition is in promoting attraction investments to boost Tajikistan’s economy, search for business partners and launch of joint ventures, the CCI press service said.

The exhibition is organized by Tajikistan’s CCI, China’s Ministry of Commerce, XUAR Commerce Department and the Urumqi and Kashgar administrations with support from the Tajik government.

Since 2004, similar exhibitions have taken place in Dushanbe, Kulob, Danghara, Gorno Badakhshan and other regions of Tajikistan.
