KONIBODOM, July 12, 2010, 2010, Asia-Plus — 307 jobless, including 189 women, have been placed in jobs in the city of Konibodom, Sughd province since the beginning of this year, According to the Konibodom agency for statistics.
92 of them have been placed in jobs in health sector, 80 jobless have been placed in jobs in agrarian sector and 45 jobless have been placed in jobs in education sector. The remainder has reportedly been placed in jobs in cultural, trade and industrial sectors.
Over the first six months of this year, 691 residents of Konibodom, with 55 percent of them being women, have been registered as unemployed, bringing the total number of officially registered unemployed in Konibodom to 998 people, the source said.
According to him, the agency in cooperation with the city social center has instructed 79 unemployed in new specialties, which is 55 percent of the annual target. “Besides, twenty jobless have been involved in public works and ten others have been employed by quota,” the source noted.
Under the population employment support program, 3,217 new jobs are planned to be created in Konibodom this year. Over the first half-year of 2010, 1,126 new jobs have been created in the city; 525 jobs have been created in the entrepreneurship sphere and 545 jobs have been created in agrarian sector.
Meanwhile, 24,300 residents of Konibodom have left the country seeking better employment opportunities; nearly 23,600 of them have traveled to the Russian Federation, the source added.
