DUSHANBE, August 31, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has announced a tender for audit of its financial activities in 2010, according to the NBT internal audit department.

The audit companies having not less than 5-year experience in conducting audit at central banks are invited to take part in the tender.

The audit company will examine the NBT financial statements for 2010.  The audit will include examination of proper execution of financial statements as well as determination of compliance of the NBT’s accounting with International Accounting Standard (IAS), the source said.

“If the bid terms and conditions are acceptable, the NBT may conclude a long-term contract for four years,” he noted, adding that the deadline for lodging applications is September 14, 2010.

We will recall that the audit of Tajik central bank’s financial activities in 2009 was conducted by KPMG Audit LLC, a Kazakhstan limited liability company and a member firm of the KPMG network of independent member firms affiliated with KPMG.
