DUSHANBE, August 31, 2010, Asia-Plus  — It is necessary to establish an intellectual and creative center in the country, Tohir Rajabov, the Candidate of Sciences in Mathematics and Physics, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

“We have many highly skilled specialists and authors of technical developments and inventions, but they are not able to solve the organizing aspects of implementation of their inventions introduction,” said Rajabov, “It would be expedient to set up the intellectual and creative center on the self-supporting basis, and such a center should be of the nationwide significance that would allow it enlisting the services of developers and producers.”

As far as the possible directions of the center’s activities are concerned, the center could be involved in implementation of projects aimed at efficiently using industrial waste, developing alternative power and fuel resources, processing farm produce, creating modern building materials and so forth, the expert said, adding that the center could also help train of creative personnel for the country.

He named insufficient financing, failure to understand specifics of new conditions, lack of mechanism to determine priorities and main directions, and lack of connection between developers and producers as factors that impede development of science and implementation of projects in Tajikistan.
