DUSHANBE, September 1, 2010, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon is attending a ceremony of an official opening of two five-story education buildings at Tajik National University in Dushanbe today, according to presidential press service.
After the ceremony of opening of the education buildings, Rahmon will hold a meeting with students from Tajik National University and other higher educational institutions of the city.
In all, 2000 students will attend the meeting. The head of state will conduct an open “Lesson of Knowledge,” the source said.
Tajik National University Vice-Chancellor Sayfullo Fayzulloyev said in an interview with Asia-Plus that the new education buildings had been constructed by the Capital Development Directorate within President’s Executive Office due to funds allocated from the national budget. Faculties of physics, mathematics, biology and geology will be placed in the new education buildings, he added.
The buildings are provided with modern equipment, including 102 computers, TV monitors, etc. Tajik National University has spent 4.785 million somoni for these purposes, the vice-chancellor stressed.
