DUSHANBE, September 3, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A photo exhibition, entitled “Tajikistan on the Path to Open Society, is opening in Dushanbe on September 4.

Organized by the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF-Tajikistan), the tree-day exhibition is dedicated to reflect young amateur photographers’ vision of the ongoing democratic processes, social justice and respect for human rights in Tajikistan on its way toward open society as well as to promote popularization of photographic art and development of photography in the country, Ms. Gulandom Nabiyeva, the Culture and Art Program coordinator, OSI/AF-Tajikistan, said.

According her, 50 best works of the photo contest that took place last July have been selected for the exhibition by independent experts, including known Tajik cultural worker such as Zaur Dakhte, Zuhur Habibulloyev, Nargis Qosimova and Farhod Arabov.
