DUSHANBE, September 4, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A new nine-story apartment building was put into commission in Dushanbe’s Zarafshon-2 area on September 2.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, told Asia-Plus that some 14 million somoni had been allocated from the city budget for construction of that 108-aprtment block.

In all, 15 new facilities for a total amount of some 51 somoni will be put into commission the city by Tajikistan’s Independence Day, the spokesman said.

Tajikistan marks its Independence Day on September 9.
