DUSHANBE, September 13, 2010, Asia-Plus  — An Iranian youth delegation arrived in Dushanbe yesterday for a familiarization visit, Jaloliddin Nourov, an aide to the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, told Asia-Plus today.

According to him, the Iranian youth delegation arrived in Tajikistan within the framework of an agreement reached between the youth departments of the two countries last year.

Yesterday, the delegation members met with Maliksho Nematov, the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, and together with Tajik youth they took part at a poetry party in Dushanbe’s Botanical Gardens.  On Sunday, Iranian youth also visited Varzob Gorge.

Sunday evening, the Iranian delegation left Dushanbe for Khujand, the capital of Sughd province.  In Sughd, they will take part in the Shahnameh reading contest that will take place in the city of Qairoqqum.

The visit of the Iranian youth delegation to Tajikistan will last till September 16.

We will recall that Tajik youth delegation was on similar familiarization visit to Iran in February this year.
