Two cotton ginneries in Farkhor receive some 2,000 tons of cotton processing

KULOB, September 13, 2010, Asia-Plus  – The cotton-ginning factory, Ziyoratsho, in Farkhor province has concluded contracts with 220 cotton producing farms.

To-date, the cotton ginnery has received some 1,500 tons of raw cotton for processing, the factory director Rustam Odinayev said.  According to him, the Ziyoratsho cotton ginnery buys raw cotton from farming units at 550.00 U.S. dollars per ton.  450 people now work with Ziyoratsho.

The second cotton-ginning factory in Farkhor, Nekrouz, has also begun to receive raw cotton from local cotton producing farms.  Nekrouz with capacity of processing 45,000 tons of raw cotton per year has concluded contracts with 70 farming units and it has bought some 400 tons of raw cotton from them at the rate of US$550.00 per ton, the Nekrouz director Bobojon Hasanov said.
