DUSHANBE, September 14, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Senior officials of rail companies from the CIS and Baltic states have gathered in Dushanbe for a four-day meeting that is opening here today afternoon, according to the Tajik Railways.

The source says the meeting is discussing proposals of the rail companies on transfer to new rail schedule designed for 2011-2012.

The meeting participants will also consider the process of preparation of draft regulations for international passenger trains and intermediate cars of direct connection as well as other issues related to organization of passenger trains, he added.

The meeting will conclude on September 17.
