DUSHANBE, September 30, 2010, Asia-Plus  — New Afghan Ambassador to Tajikistan, Dr. Abdughafour Arzu Akhtar Mohammad, will present his credentials to President Emomali Rahmon today afternoon, according to presidential press services.

The sides are supposed to discuss state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

By Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s decree Abdughafour Arzu Akhtar Mohammad was appointed Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan in August, replacing Said Mohammad Khairkhah

According to the Afghan Embassy in Dushanbe, Dr. Abdughafour Arzu Akhtar Mohammed was born in Herat in 1961.  He graduated from the Teachers’ Training University in Tehran, Iran.  Abdughafour Arzu Akhtar Mohammad had previously served as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Afghan Embassy in Tehran.
