DUSHANBE, October 18, 2010, Asia-Plus — 46 counties of the world have provided US$67.389 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first nine months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the report period, 93 tons of wheat for US$571,000, more than 14,702 tons of wheat flour for US$7.3 million, 2,891 tons of vegetable oil for more than US$6.147 million, medicines and medical equipment for US$38.8 million, US$3.153 million worth of footwear and clothing, as well as food products, electrical appliances and computers have been delivered to the country.
Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 53.4 percent, Kazakhstan – 10.8 percent, Denmark – 7.7 percent, Germany – 5.6 percent, Russia – 4.6 percent, Korea – 3.4 percent, the Netherlands – 2.5 percent, Latvia – 1.6 percent, Malaysia – 1.2 percent, Kyrgyzstan – 1.0 percent, India – 0.8 percent, Ukraine and Austria – 0.6 percent each, Turkey, China and France – 0.5 percent each.
