DUSHANBE, February 16, 2011, Asia-Plus  — The fourth two-day meeting of the Permanent Commission of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Education (MoE) and Turkey’s Ministry of National Education (MoNE) opened in Dushanbe on February 15.

MoNE Deputy Undersecretary Salih Celik is representing the Turkish side at the meeting, Tamara Nasimova, chairperson of the MoE department for international cooperation, said.

According to her, a cooperation agreement signed between the education ministries of Tajikistan and Turkey in 1996 is a major topic of the meeting.

“The sides plan to update some provisions of the agreement as they have gone out of date,” Nasimova said, noting that the meeting is concluding today with signing of a protocol.

During their stay in Dushanbe, the Turkish delegation members have also visited two tajik-Turkish lyceums here.
