DUSHANBE, February 23, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Days of Iran’s Culture are starting in Tajikistan today.

Iran”s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini heading a dignified delegation arrived in Dushanbe yesterday, according to the Ministry of Culture (MoC).

The source at a MoC says the Iranian delegation members include 120 representatives of Iranian culture and art.  An official opening of Days of Culture of Iran in Tajikistan will take place at the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Dushanbe today evening.

Exhibitions of works by Iranian photographers, calligraphers and craftsmen will be held at the National Kamoliddin Behzod Museum and an exhibition of Iranian books will take place at the National Public Firdavsi Library.

Besides, Iranian musicians will conduct master-classes for students at Tajikistan’s State Institute of Art and National Conservatory on sidelines of the event.

Tajik and Iranian poets and musicians are expected to hold a joint reading and recital in Dushanbe.

On February 26-27, the Iranian delegation will visit the city of Khujand, the capital of Sughd province to see the sight of this ancient Tajik city.

Days of Iran’s Culture in Tajikistan will conclude in Dushanbe on February 27.
