DUSHANBE, March 16, 2011, Asia-Plus  — The seventh meeting of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Environment in Tajikistan, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, took place in Dushanbe on March 15.

According to the presidential press service, the meeting considered the process of implementation of decisions adopted by the Council, government’s draft plan on deepening of economic reforms and further improvement of investment climate in the country and the program for improvement of investment climate and entrepreneurship in the construction sector designed for 2011-2012.

By president’s proposal Fayzali Rajabov, Chairman of Tajik Builders’ Association, Tien Shan Fun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jinfeng Tajikistan and JV Zeravshan, and Rudolf Schoch, Country Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, became new members of the Council.

Besides, President Rahmon offered to draft law on the government-private sector cooperation.  He noted that the bill must be worked out with participation of representatives of the private sector and international experts, the presidential press service said.
