DUSHANBE, March 29, 2011, Asia-Plus  — International companies are expected to help upgrade facilities at Dushanbe International Airport.

Manouchehr Safarov, head of the legal department within open joint-stock company (OJSC) Dushanbe International Airport, told Asia-Plus today that the Dushanbe International Airport officials conducted negotiations with senior representatives of a number of international companies in Moscow on the sidelines of the conference “Development and Modernization of Airports in Russia and CIS Nations” that took place at the ed of last week.

“We have reached the preliminary agreement on cooperation with companies such as EF (the United Kingdom), AKM Kominvest (Russia), Strategic Development center for Civilian Aviation (Russia), Deloitte’s representative office in Russia, EACOM (the United States) and Pilot (Russia),” Safarov said.

According to him, Pilot, AECOM and EF are interested in opening their representative offices in Tajikistan.  “Specialists from these companies will arrive in Tajikistan in the near future to study local market,” Safarov added.
