KONIBODOM, April 5, 2011, Asia-Plus  — A regional contest for young investors from Sughd province has opened in the city of Konibodom today.

More than 130 school students from all the 18 districts of Sughd are participating in the event, organized by the Sughd education directorate.

“The goal of the competition is to promote development and active involvement of school students in studying technological sciences as well demonstrate and propagate achievements of school students in various types of engineering and modeling,” Ms. Khovarkhon Najmiddinova chairperson of the Konibodom education department, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

During two days, young inventors will compete in the following categories: radio modeling; aircraft modeling; boat model making; auto model making; and so forth.
